My Story - Jess Pascoe Counselling

As a Counsellor, I am passionate about working with a diverse range of people to help them change their lives in positive ways. I work with you at your own pace to address personal struggles and process what’s happening for you. When you begin your therapy, I want you to feel relaxed, safe, and supported within a calming environment and provide space for you to be heard and understood. Therapy will be guided by you and your needs at any given time, and your individual counselling goals will be the focus of your therapy.
In my own life I’m grateful for my own experience of career and life transitions with previous background in working with people living with disability and their carers. I have specific experience in counselling women who have experienced violence and abuse supporting safety and a space to heal. I have also worked with many individuals, both men and women who are struggling with their mental health for various reasons.

As a holistic therapist, I understand that mental health is influenced by multiple factors, including emotional, social, and environmental circumstances. That’s why I take a holistic approach to counselling, considering not just your symptoms but also the underlying factors and contributing experiences. I use an integrated counselling framework underpinned by person centred and trauma informed approaches with evidence-based therapies like emotion focused, attachment based, strengths based, somatic, solution focused therapy and internal family systems.

Through empathy, active listening, and respect, I believe everyone can gain insight, overcome challenges, and achieve their fullest potential.
In Counselling with me, you will experience a healing centred therapy that places you at the centre of your therapeutic process. We will gently explore inner strengths, values, and experiences in a safe and non-judgmental way. Through empathy, active listening, and respect I believe everyone can gain insight, overcome challenges, and achieve their fullest potential. Your comfort and confidentiality is my priority. My counselling space provides a safe experience where you can express yourself freely, explore your thoughts and feelings, and work towards positive change.
As someone who has battled stress and overwhelming times in life, I know the value of actively balancing life’s demands and looking after yourself mentally, physically, and emotionally. I’ve personally undergone counselling and truly understand the courage it takes to seek help and face what needs to be healed.
I have been a Brisbane local for over 15 years, I’m a wife and mother, lover of nature and all things that keep me living in the present moment.
