Carer Support
A caregiver selflessly provides care and support for a few hours a week or all day every day. Person centred approach
Counselling is based on you being the expert of your own life, including your experiences, emotions and needs. You are at the centre of the process meaning I am here to listen without judgement, understand your experiences from your perspective. I create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and concerns. Through this process you are likely to gain clarity and a greater sense of peace and self acceptance.
Strengths based approach
Counselling incorporates a focus on your existing strengths, abilities and resources. Recognising and harnessing your strengths helps you to overcome obstacles, achieve your goals and embrace positive changes. In our sessions, we'll work collaboratively to identify your inner resources, cultivate self-compassion, and foster a sense of agency and empowerment.
Trauma informed & healing centred therapy approach
Trauma-informed Counselling means that I approach sessions with a deep understanding of how past experiences may have impacted you. Rather than focusing solely on the symptoms or effects of stress, we consider the root causes and work to create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore and process your experiences.

Appointments are available in person in the calming and beautiful Hands from Heaven Clinic, Chermside, Brisbane - Northern Suburbs. Free and easy parking available on site and accessible by public transport. Alternative you can book a session via Telehealth (video or phone).

First Counselling Session
Commence with a 1.5 hour session so I can gain an in-depth understanding of your current concerns, and get a full picture of your support needs.
Health Funds
You may also be eligible for rebates from the following private health funds depending on your level of cover:
BUPA, Medibank, AHM, HCF, ARHG – Police Health Fund, Emergency Services Health, Phoenix Health, St Luke’s Health, GMHBA, CUA Health (telehealth only), Teachers Union Health, AIA, Westfund.
Rebates
As I am a registered Counsellor and not a Psychologist, Medicare rebates for Mental Health Care Plans are unavailable for Counselling services. However, I do offer a reduced fee for service rate for anyone who has a Pension or Healthcare Card.

Referrals
There is no need to have a referral to access my services, Counselling sessions can be booked directly here with me.
EFT tapping can be incorporated into the above Counselling approaches if you choose. EFT is used within Counselling therapy to fast track healing and help you achieve emotional freedom in a shorter amount of sessions.
